The prolonged violence in Somalia has torn apart communities that used to live peacefully. IOM facilitates community reconciliation activities among women to foster social cohesion.

Somali Women Play Greater Role, Thanks to Sport Initiative

Dr Ubah left Somalia in 1991 due to the civil war and lived in Italy for the last 29 years where she studied medicine. Now she is back in Mogadishu to help rebuild her country.
